Perth teen Aidan Read heads to Zhejiang, China this weekend for the Blancpain GT Series Asia season finale.     The new facility is 200 kilometres south of Shanghai and features 16 turns, two long straights and a tight and twisty run through the mountains.     The circuit should suit the characteristics of his #1 Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

“The focus is on developing an understanding of the layout and making quick progress with setup and pace,” Aidan  said.  “This added uncertainty will mix up the timing screens, and present an opportunity to out-perform.”

He and teammate Alberto Di Folco  (above, left) are fifth in the Silver standings with 103 points after ten rounds, having scored in every race.      Aidan lead the last round outright for the first time and Zhejiang brings to a close his impressive first season of GT3 racing with FFF Racing.    “If we can use our experience as a team and capitalise on the change, we can achieve a season best result,” the 18-year-old said.    “This would cap off my first year in GT3 very nicely, so game on!”

Earlier this year Aidan won the Asian Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Sepang in LMP2, and finished 4th Place in the Bathurst 12-Hour C Class in a GT4 Ginetta.
