A joint document released on Wednesday (6 May) addressed all future championship rounds in the wake of the postponement of rallies in Argentina and Italy, along with the cancellation of Portugal and Kenya.
Rally Finland (6 – 9 August) is under evaluation with a postponement to September or October an option under consideration. Organisers in New Zealand will assess their 3 – 6 September event at the end of May.
Planning for Rally Turkey (24 – 27 September) is continuing as normal, along with the final three scheduled rounds at Rallye Deutschland (15 – 18 October), Rally GB (29 October – 1 November) and Rally Japan (19 – 22 November).
Government restrictions mean a rescheduled date for Rally Argentina would not be possible until the final three months of the year.
First contested in 1973, the WRC was formed from well-known and popular international rallies, most of which had previously been part of the European Rally Championship or the International Championship for Manufacturers. The World Rally Car is the current car specification in the series. Source: Wikipedia
