As racer Anthony Martin jets back across to the US early tomorrow morning full of hope for the future, the thoughts and best wishes of West Australian fans are onboard with him.
His is a cut-throat pursuit where quite often coming second – as he did in the tough 2017 Pro-Mazda series, along the Road to Indy pathway he has chosen – just doesn’t quite make the grade. But he knows how very well he performed in his #8 Burgess BLA Cape Motorsports car, against fierce odds. He also is aware of the international respect he earned. And what went down along that tortuous journey. The coming days will decide just where the Kalgoorlie-born 22-year-old goes from here.
