Radical SR3RS – World’s Fastest Production Race Car

by Dianne  Bortoletto

AFL footballer Nat Fyfe, Test cricketers  Mitchell Johnson and Adam Gilchristand Olympic Gold medallist Steve Hooker are among a host of superstars who have put the pedal to the metal in the Arise Racing Lap Challenge.

The competitive ‘Top Gear style’ lap challenge isn’t in a reasonably priced car like the famous British television show segment, but in the world’s fastest production race car. This open-topped and incredibly quick Radical SR3RS that reaches 100km/h in 3.1 seconds.

Arise Racing Team Principal Adam Lisle said the Lap Challenge is a fun way to promote Arise Racing’s corporate motorsport events, driver training and the team’s state-of-the-art facility at Barbagallo Raceway.

“There’s nothing quite like a little healthy competition while experiencing the exhilaration of pushing yourself and the car to the limits,” Adam said.

Learn The skills of Racing

“Almost everyone gets into the car with some nerves but that all changes once they’re out on the track with a coach beside them who’s teaching them the skills of racing – throttle application, braking techniques, finding the apex of the corner and the racing line.

“Every single person gets back in to the workshop after their session of driver training on an absolute high with a massive smile, raring to go again.”

Over the coming weeks, clips of Lap Challenge contenders with their times and where they sit on the leader board will be released on www.ariseracing.com.au and on the Arise Racing Facebook page, with the winner announced on April 17.

And the prize?

“Bragging rights of course!” the Team Principal said.

Steve Hooker, Olympic gold medalist:

“Sitting behind the wheel and having the controls in your hands, you really start to want to go for it really quickly. It was amazing fun. It’s a really fun circuit and the car is amazing. Anyone from sixteen years old through to sixty years old should get out there and learn how to drive a car properly.”

Arise Racing offers driver training for corporate groups and individuals and can tailor packages to include catering in the Drivers Lounge, limousine or helicopter transfers, corporate branding and a media package complete with in-car footage. Twenty-lap packages start at $1,100 per person.
