And Anthony Martin scores Indy Lights Test with Andretti

PERTH’s AIDAN READ (second, left) and teammate ALBERTO DI FOLCO secured their best result of the season for FFF Racing with a strong second in the  Blancpain GT Series Asia finale in China.

The all-new Zhejiang Circuit proved quite a challenge all weekend long, with wet conditions dominating proceedings.    “We’ve been waiting for a race like this all season and we’ve been working really hard as a team,” Aidan said.    “It was a new experience coming to Blancpain this year and to finish the season with a podium is great – I’m really stoked.”     Aidan next travels to Imola, Italy for the Lamborghini GT3 Junior Program training camp at month’s end.

Meanwhile Kalgoorlie’s ANTH0NY MARTIN has stepped up this weekend to test for the Indy Lights series.     “The time has finally come to jump into an Indy Lights car,” Anthony said today from the US.   “I’m I so excited to be testing at Indianapolis with Andretti Autosport, and I’m looking forward to working in a professional environment with everyone – eager and ready to learn more.      The Mazda Road to Indy program has given me the opportunity to move forward and advance my motorsport career, having goals when I first came to America in 2015 to do the best I could in USF2000.      I turned that into a championship win in 2016, earning a scholarship from Mazda to move up the ladder to Pro Mazda.     I can’t wait for what my future holds in this new challenge!”

Meanwhile WA eyes will be on Karratha’s NICK ROWE who’s on track to take out the 2017 CAMS Jayco Formula 4 Championship tomorrow on the Gold Coast.
