Shanghai may well prove to be the defining race of Dan Ricciardo’s Formula One career. It certainly gave the Perth superstar a seismic boost in current negotiations with his Red Bull masters. Dan’s last eight laps around the 5.45km circuit were simply astounding. His subsequent trademark grin no doubt was echoed by Liberty Media’s senior execs Chase Carey, Sean Bratches and Ross Brawn. Likewise John Malone, the billionaire who controls the US company.
The final stages of the Chinese Grand Prix was as good as good as any I’ve seen and the Red Bull Team performed to perfection .
