WEST AUSSIE AIDAN READ
is looking forward to the third round of thethis weekend (6-8 January 2017) at Thailand’s Chang International Circuit.

He’s again teaming up with Scott Andrews and William Lok in the #99 WINEURASIA Ligier LMP3 car for the 4H of Buriram.

Aidan made his debut in the series with WINEURASIA last time out at Japan’s Fuji, qualifying a fine fifth, but was left disappointed after mechanical gremlins hindered race day. Looking ahead to this weekend, he is confident that he can put in a strong showing following his two wins at the same venue in 2016 Formula Masters.

Chang International a favourite

“I’m really looking forward to getting back in the car after the break,” Aidan said. “The Chang International Circuit is one of my favourites, and one where I’ve had success in the past, I can’t wait to see what I can do there in LMP3.

“We had a difficult weekend in Fuji with mechanical issues on race day,” Aidan continued. “There was a lot to take in for me in particular, travelling to a new country and learning a new track in a new series, but I’m a more complete driver thanks to that experience.

“I’m eager to get the most out of myself and the #99 car in Thailand; we can be confident in ourselves in aiming for a strong start to 2017.”

Practice gets underway from 15.00 on Friday 6 January with qualifying at 16.10 on Saturday and the 4H of Buriram Sunday at 12.15 local time, 05.15 GMT.
