15 Wins from 18 Races
JORDAN LOVE has secured the Outright and Professional Class GT3 championship titles with victory in today’s opening race at Phillip Island. He further stamped his dominance winning Race 2, before finishing in the gravel trap in the final race after a battle for the lead with Brenton Grove. Jordan’s extraordinary year included 15 wins from 18 races. His series win was also the third straight for the Sonic Motor Racing Services team, following outright champions Ryan Simpson (2015) and Hamish Hardeman last year. Jordan faces his latest challenge this weekend at Sandown when he tackles the tough Porsche Carrera Cup Australia series for the final three rounds of the season.
The 18-year-old will stay with Sonic Motor Racing Services for Bathurst and the Gold Coast and hopes to continue in the championship in 2018. “The pathway that Porsche provides has been amazing for young drivers like me,” he said. Round 6 begins with two practice sessions on Friday September 15.
