Stadium Super Trucks – those magnificent flying machines – have finally signed on the dotted line to appear at the 2018 Perth Supersprint.
Two local categories get gigs on the support bill for the Virgin Australia Supercars’ annual trek across the Nullabor. Saloon Cars www.wasalooncars.com.au/ have guaranteed the grid number required and are signed up to fire on all cylinders. The seriously quick Formula 1000s www.ausf1000.com.au – the fastest circuit racing series in WA – have been given the nod by the WA Sporting Car Club for the other slot, but have yet to commit. If F1000 can’t guarantee the stipulated grid target within the next few days, the slot will be offered to Formula Ford www.facebook.com/waformulaford . And there’s no doubt ex-F1 engineer Brett Lupton and his crack team at www.fastlaneracing.com.au will have no trouble mustering the numbers for Barbagallo Raceway’s Big Bash.
